Tracing Ace collects no personal information, from children or from anyone. This page covers the app and this website, and says what that means in practice.
Who we are
Tracing Ace and tracingace.com are run by Dot Studios LLC, in the United States, which is responsible for this policy. You can reach us at support@tracingace.com.
The app
Tracing Ace does not collect, transmit or share any personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no third-party code. Nothing anyone draws in the app leaves the device.
The app offers an optional subscription, sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase; we never receive your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. The app checks with Apple, on the device, whether a subscription is active, and keeps that answer on the device so it works offline. Apple’s handling of purchases and Family Sharing is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
If someone taps “Save it” on a drawing, the app asks for permission to add that picture to the device’s photo library. This permission is add-only: the app cannot see, read or open any existing photos. Declining it changes nothing else in the app, and it can be turned off at any time in the device’s Settings.
Your drawings, and what you can do
Drawings are stored on the device, inside the app. Because we hold no information about you or your child, there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. You’re in control on the device itself: delete drawings in the Gallery, or delete the app to remove everything it keeps. We keep no copy, so we can’t recover drawings for you, though a backup of your device may include them.
Children
Tracing Ace is designed to comply with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): it collects no personal information from children under 13, or from anyone. It has no way to contact a child. The subscription screens and the few links out to the web (this policy and the terms of use) sit behind a parental gate in the app’s grown-ups area.
If a child emails us, we’ll reply once if needed, then delete the message and the address. If you’re a parent and think we have something from your child, write to us and we’ll delete it.
This website
tracingace.com has no forms, no accounts, and loads no third-party scripts, trackers, cookies, analytics or advertising. Like any website, its host, Cloudflare, handles the technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, in order to deliver the page; it does this on our behalf, keeps that information only briefly, and is covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy terms. The site is served only over HTTPS.
If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you, and we don’t sell it or share it. We keep emails only as long as we need them to help you, then delete them; ask and we’ll delete yours sooner. Your email is stored by our email provider, Google Workspace, which may be outside your country.
California, and “Do Not Track”
We don’t sell or share personal information, and we never have any to sell. Because nothing in the app or on this website tracks you, there is nothing for a browser’s Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off: every visit is treated as if it were on.
The UK and EU
The only personal data we handle is an email you choose to send us, kept so we can reply (our legitimate interest in answering you), and the IP address Cloudflare handles to deliver this website. You can ask us for a copy of your email, ask us to delete it, or object to our keeping it, and you can complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
Security
Drawings are protected by your device’s own security: its passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and encryption. The app and this website load nothing from third parties.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. If we ever wanted to collect anything, we would change the app and this page first, and where children are involved we would get a parent’s consent beforehand.
